  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Jon St. John (Contribution to Radio, Television and Video Game Industries – Best Known as the Voice of DUKE NUKEM)

Duke Nukem – Jon St John at Oceanside International Film Festival

Enjoy this interview with North County’s own Jon St.John, the voice of Duke Nukem, at OIFF! Jon is an award winning artist that specializes in high quality voiceovers, as well as sound design for various TV, radio, and multi-media projects. His recording studio is located in Oceanside. To learn about Oceanside Intl Film Festival, see: www.facebook.com/likeOIFF) With over 35 years of experience in both voice-over and audio production, Jon St.John’s voice is heard across America and around the world on TV and radio stations as well as websites, theme park attractions, and corporate presentations. For more than 20 years, Jon has been the voice of XETV, Channel 6 TV in San Diego (first as a FOX affiliate, now the home of the CW). Jon has provided character voices for many attractions and rides at California’s Legoland theme park. Best known in the gaming industry as the voice of videogame super hero Duke Nukem, Jon is also heard on such games as World of Warcraft, Half-Life: Opposing Force, Sonic Adventure, Heroes of Newerth, Call of Cthulhu, Rochard, Twisted Metal, Guild Wars 2, Counter-Strike, and DoTA. His voiceover credits include video pieces for CNN, HBO, Nickelodeon, Cirque Du Soleil, etc. Oceanside International Film Festival honored Jon St.John with a special Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution in voiceover work in entertainment industry.
